At least 11 people lost their lives in three separate road accidents reported from Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Karachi, highlighting the growing dangers on Pakistan’s highways during the early hours of Tuesday.

In Balochistan’s Chagai district, a deadly head-on collision between two double-cabin vehicles near Yakmach claimed seven lives and left three others injured. According to police, both vehicles were travelling at high speed on the Pakistan-Iran RCD Highway when the crash occurred, resulting in severe damage to both vehicles. The victims included four women and two children, underscoring the tragic human cost of reckless driving.

Emergency responders shifted the injured and deceased to a nearby facility in Yakmach before transferring the injured passengers to Prince Fahad Hospital in Dalbandin for further treatment. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision.

In a separate incident in Swabi, a five-vehicle pile-up near the Anbar Interchange on the M1 Motorway resulted in two fatalities and left 10 people injured. The vehicles were reportedly travelling from Peshawar to Islamabad when the accident occurred. Rescue teams acted swiftly, clearing the motorway and transporting the injured to Bacha Khan Medical Complex. Traffic flow was later restored after the wreckage was removed.

Meanwhile, in Karachi, another tragic accident unfolded on Shahrah-e-Faisal near Karsaz, where a roadside collision claimed the lives of two motorcyclists. Rescue teams reached the scene promptly and confirmed the deaths. Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

These accidents come just weeks after another major tragedy in Balochistan’s Gwadar district, where a passenger coach overturned, killing 10 people and injuring 45 others. That incident required assistance from military and naval rescue teams to evacuate survivors.

The series of accidents has renewed calls for stricter traffic enforcement, speed control, and improved road safety measures across the country.
