The Government of Pakistan is taking further steps to improve passport home delivery services for overseas Pakistanis by making the process faster, more secure, and more convenient. The initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to modernize public services and provide better facilities to the Pakistani diaspora living abroad.

Following the directions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Director General Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired a high level meeting with officials from Nadra and DHL to review and strengthen the passport home delivery system.

During the meeting, participants discussed practical measures to speed up passport delivery, simplify procedures, and improve coordination among the concerned institutions. Officials agreed to finalize a streamlined process that will ensure passports are delivered safely and efficiently to applicants at their registered addresses.

The meeting also emphasized strengthening cooperation between the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, Nadra, and DHL to provide maximum convenience for Pakistanis living overseas. The improved coordination is expected to reduce delays and enhance the overall customer experience.

The government recently introduced a doorstep passport delivery service, allowing applicants to receive their passports without visiting passport collection centers. This service is designed to save time and eliminate unnecessary travel, making the process much more convenient for overseas citizens.

In addition to home delivery, the government has already implemented cashless payment facilities at passport offices across Pakistan. Applicants can now complete payment digitally without waiting in long queues, improving transparency and efficiency.

Officials say these reforms reflect the government’s commitment to digital transformation, faster public services, and improved accessibility for citizens both inside and outside Pakistan. Authorities have indicated that more technology driven initiatives will be introduced in the future to further modernize passport and immigration services.
