Jannik Sinner successfully defended his Wimbledon title after defeating Alexander Zverev in a thrilling four set final at the All England Club. The Italian star secured a 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4 victory to lift his fifth Grand Slam title and further establish himself among the world’s elite tennis players.

With this historic triumph, Sinner became only the 10th man in the professional era to successfully retain the Wimbledon men’s singles crown. The victory also extended his remarkable dominance over Zverev, marking his 10th consecutive win against the German.

Speaking after the match, Sinner described Wimbledon as the most special place to compete, saying every final at the prestigious tournament is unforgettable. He thanked the fans for their incredible support throughout the championship and said he never takes the opportunity to compete at Wimbledon for granted.

The final began with both players producing high quality tennis. Alexander Zverev edged a closely contested first set by winning a dramatic tie break, giving himself an early advantage. However, Sinner responded strongly in the second set, displaying exceptional composure to level the match with another tie break victory.

The turning point came in the third set when Zverev suffered a painful slip while chasing a drop shot. Although he was able to continue after receiving attention, the injury appeared to affect his movement. Sinner immediately took control, breaking serve before comfortably claiming the third set.

The Italian carried his momentum into the fourth set, breaking Zverev once again and maintaining his advantage until the end. After converting championship point, Sinner celebrated by collapsing onto the famous Centre Court grass, marking another memorable moment in his growing career.

For Alexander Zverev, the defeat marked his fourth loss in a Grand Slam final. Despite the disappointment, he praised Sinner’s outstanding performance, acknowledging him as the best player in the world and congratulating him on another deserved Wimbledon title.
