The Sindh government has announced strict action against cheating in board examinations, aiming to restore fairness and credibility in the education system. In a firm statement, officials declared a zero tolerance policy for students and staff involved in any kind of exam malpractice during matric and intermediate exams.
According to authorities, any student caught cheating or using unfair means will face serious consequences. Their current paper will be cancelled immediately, and they may also be barred from future board examinations. This decision is being seen as one of the toughest measures taken to control the rising trend of cheating in exams.
The government has also warned that staff members involved in facilitating cheating will not be spared. Invigilators, examiners, or any administrative officials found guilty will face strict disciplinary action, including dismissal from service. Officials emphasized that maintaining integrity in examinations is essential for the future of students and the education system.
This announcement comes at a time when matric exams in Sindh are already facing serious criticism. Reports of paper leaks, bribery, and mismanagement have raised concerns among students and parents. In some cases, students were reportedly asked to change examination centers even after attempting multiple papers, causing confusion and stress.
Further alarming reports revealed that exam papers, including a computer science paper, were leaked on social media shortly before the exam. There were also allegations that some students paid up to Rs5,000 to gain unfair advantages, including access to mobile phones inside examination halls.
To tackle these issues, the government has promised to strengthen the monitoring system at examination centers. Officials have made it clear that any interference, negligence, or misconduct will be dealt with firmly. These measures aim to ensure a transparent and fair examination process for all students across Sindh.
