Bilawal engagement reports have been completely denied by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. On Monday he issued a clear statement rejecting all claims that his engagement or marriage talks had been finalised.
In a video message Bilawal said social media had already decided his marriage discussions, engagement and wedding. He firmly stated that nothing of this kind had happened. He also clarified that he does not know any Princess Gloria. The PPP chairman made it clear that neither the match had been finalised nor had he got engaged.
Reports had earlier suggested that President Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal were in Vienna holding talks with the family of a prospective bride. Bilawal dismissed these stories as pure speculation. He explained that such social media spectacles are deliberately hyped to divert public attention from real and serious issues facing the country.
Bilawal added that any decision about his personal life would be announced only by his family. Until such an official announcement comes from the family, people should ignore the online rumours and focus on genuine national matters.
In the same statement Bilawal also criticised the handling of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences after the recent deaths of 14 infants. He said a minister who claims he wants to reform the country cannot even manage one hospital properly. He further rejected comments made by a minister from Lahore about creating new provinces. Bilawal stressed that such important decisions must be discussed and decided inside the Sindh Assembly, the first assembly that joined Pakistan, and not on the streets or in business forums in Lahore.
The PPP chairman urged the public to stop giving importance to fabricated personal stories and instead pay attention to the actual challenges the country is facing right now.
