New official figures from 2025 challenge the narrative promoted by militant outfits operating in Balochistan, showing that the biggest victims of Balochistan terror attacks are local Baloch and Pakhtoon communities, along with security forces and law enforcement personnel. A senior Balochistan government official shared the data after a request, highlighting how violence in the province has remained indiscriminate and deeply anti people.

According to the statistics, terrorists carried out 126 attacks on local Baloch and Pakhtoon citizens during 2025. These incidents resulted in 35 deaths and 51 injuries, indicating that ordinary residents continue to face the harshest impact. In comparison, there were 16 attacks on settlers, mostly Punjabis, which led to 52 deaths and 12 injuries. While the number of deaths among settlers remains high, the overall pattern suggests that locals are targeted more frequently.

The figures also reveal that critical public services have not been spared. Terrorists attacked the railway network in 10 separate incidents, causing 29 deaths and leaving one person injured. These attacks disrupted vital travel routes and placed civilians at risk, including those commuting for jobs, education, and medical treatment.

The heaviest toll, however, was borne by security forces. Official records show the Frontier Corps faced 330 attacks, resulting in 184 deaths and 327 injuries. The police were targeted in 134 attacks, leading to 32 deaths and 123 injuries. The Levies force suffered 84 attacks, with 17 deaths and 27 injuries reported.

Officials and analysts say this pattern undermines militant claims of defending local rights. A senior official stressed that terrorists show no respect for identity or ethnicity, harming Baloch, Pakhtoons, Punjabis, and civilians alike. Analysts add that continued violence has intensified fear, damaged livelihoods, and slowed development across the province.

In response, the provincial government and security agencies have expanded intelligence based operations, improved coordination, and strengthened protection in vulnerable regions. Officials insist dismantling terrorist networks remains a top priority to restore safety and stability in Balochistan.
