The Pakistan Army, represented by the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), has achieved a remarkable international success by securing first place at the International Pace Sticking Competition 2026 held at the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistani contingent delivered an exceptional performance throughout the competition and outclassed participants from other countries. The PMA team not only claimed the coveted Overall Team Trophy, but also won the prestigious Best Pace Sticker Award and Best Driver Award, making it a complete clean sweep of the major honours.
The nine member Pakistani delegation arrived in the United Kingdom on June 5, 2026. The team was led by Major Haider Gulzar, who serves as the Adjutant of the Pakistan Military Academy. Their dedication, discipline, and commitment played a vital role in bringing international recognition to Pakistan.
A total of 16 teams from different armies around the world participated in the annual event. The competition tested military personnel on precision, coordination, ceremonial excellence, confidence, and teamwork. Despite the strong competition, the Pakistan Army team demonstrated outstanding professionalism and emerged as the overall champion.
In its official statement, the ISPR stated that this achievement reflects the highest standards of professional training, excellence, and dedication maintained by the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
