Pakistan cricket fans have fresh updates to discuss after the latest ICC T20I rankings were released. Spinner Abrar Ahmed has lost his number one position in the bowling charts, while young talents Hasan Nawaz and Saim Ayub have made solid gains following recent performances.
In the T20I batting rankings, newly appointed captain Sahibzada Farhan has held on to third place with 818 points. India’s Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma continue to occupy the top two spots. Saim Ayub has moved up one place to 38th with 566 points, showing steady form. Former captain Babar Azam has dropped four places to 45th with 544 points. Recently removed T20I captain Salman Ali Agha also slipped three places to 48th.
The biggest story on the batting side belongs to Hasan Nawaz. He produced a remarkable 62 place jump and now sits at 48th with 536 points. His powerful 96 run knock against India in the Asian Games 2026 final, which included seven sixes, clearly impressed the ranking system. On the other hand, left handed batter Fakhar Zaman has fallen 10 places to 82nd with 471 points.
Turning to the bowling rankings, Abrar Ahmed has dropped from the top spot to second place with 718 points. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has reclaimed the number one position, while Australia’s Adam Zampa stays third. Mohammad Nawaz has slipped four places from eighth to 12th with 645 points. Salman Mirza dropped seven places to 23rd with 623 points, and Shaheen Afridi moved down three places to 36th with 590 points.
Other Pakistani players also saw movement. Sufiyan Muqeem retained 50th place with 546 points. Saim Ayub climbed eight places to 62nd in the bowling list as well. Usman Tariq fell seven places to 63rd, while Shadab Khan slipped two places to 77th.
These changes largely reflect performances during the Asian Games 2026 and the opening T20I between India and the West Indies. The latest T20I rankings show how quickly positions can shift with strong individual displays on the big stage.
