Security forces successfully conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Sarkini and Chedgi areas of Panjgur district in Balochistan under Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3. The action led to the killing of five terrorists linked to Fitna al-Hindustan, including a key commander named Wazir, son of Jamal.
During the raid, troops recovered four motorcycles, machine guns, heavy weapons and a large cache of ammunition from the slain militants. These individuals were involved in robbery, extortion, kidnapping and other terrorist activities that targeted traders and ordinary civilians in the region.
A clearance operation is currently underway to track down and eliminate any remaining members of the group still present in the surrounding areas. Security sources confirmed that the operation remains active to ensure the area is fully secured.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the professionalism and resolve shown by the security forces. In his statement, he said the troops had once again demonstrated their strong determination in the fight against terrorism. He noted that the brave soldiers continue their efforts to free Balochistan from militant elements and bring lasting peace to the province.
Naqvi added that the entire nation stands united against terrorism and fully supports the security forces. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to backing the troops until terrorism is completely eradicated from the country.
Just a day earlier, security forces had eliminated 15 India-backed terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij during a series of similar operations across several districts of Balochistan, including Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Nushki.
Pakistan has faced a rise in terror incidents, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, since 2021. A recent report by the Centre for Research and Security Studies showed that these two provinces accounted for nearly 96 percent of all violence-related deaths in the second quarter of 2026. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded the highest number of fatalities and incidents, followed closely by Balochistan.
The successful Panjgur action once again highlights the continuous efforts of security forces to dismantle terrorist networks operating in the province.
