Pakistan arms deals have pushed the country into the global spotlight as it signed nearly $10 billion worth of defence agreements during the 2024–25 period, marking a major rise in its presence within the international weapons market.
According to available details, these Pakistan arms deals include major defence exports to Libya, Azerbaijan, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. Under these agreements, Pakistan supplied a wide range of military equipment, including JF 17 fighter jets, Super Mushshak training aircraft, air defence systems, and other advanced defence hardware. These exports reflect Pakistan’s growing ability to meet international defence requirements.
One of the most significant achievements was a multi billion dollar deal with Libya, which alone contributed heavily to the overall export value. At the same time, expanded aircraft sales to Azerbaijan, especially in the aviation sector, further strengthened Pakistan arms deals and boosted confidence in locally manufactured platforms.
Defence analysts believe Pakistan’s success comes from its focus on indigenous defence production, offering cost effective and reliable military solutions compared to Western alternatives. Strong defence diplomacy, competitive pricing, and close military cooperation have also played a key role.
By investing in local technology, research, and production capacity, Pakistan is reducing dependence on imports while improving its global defence standing. These Pakistan arms deals highlight the country’s growing confidence and position it as an emerging exporter in the global defence industry.
