Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed that Operation Ghazab lil-Haq is being carried out with full determination to eliminate terrorist groups operating from Afghan territory and to protect the lives and property of innocent Pakistanis.
During his visit to the Command and Staff College Quetta, the prime minister praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their professionalism, preparedness, and sacrifices in defending the country’s sovereignty and maintaining peace.
The premier said Pakistan remains committed to rooting out terrorism and ensuring lasting stability in the country. He paid tribute to the nation’s martyrs and highlighted the armed forces’ vital role in safeguarding national security.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also recalled Pakistan’s strong response during Marka-e-Haq, describing it as a historic victory under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. He stated that Pakistan acted with maturity and responsibility during regional tensions, earning recognition from the international community.
The prime minister emphasized that Pakistan will continue to defend its territorial integrity against any threat and will never compromise on national security.
Later, while chairing the Provincial Apex Committee meeting in Quetta, the prime minister directed authorities to establish a dedicated security corridor in Balochistan’s Rakhshan Division. The initiative aims to protect valuable mineral resources and provide a secure environment for local and foreign investors.
He noted that Balochistan is rich in natural resources and that peace in the province is essential for economic growth and development. The government is also investing in education, healthcare, technical training, and employment opportunities to bring Balochistan’s youth into the national mainstream.
The prime minister reiterated that Pakistan is emerging as a regional stabiliser, committed to peace, security, and prosperity.
