England captain Harry Brook produced one of the finest innings in recent cricket history by scoring a blistering 202 runs off just 116 balls against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi. His knock included 21 fours and 10 sixes and helped England post a massive total of 429 for 4 in 50 overs on October 22, 2026.
This magnificent double century is now the highest individual ODI score ever made in Pakistan. Brook went past the previous record of 188 runs set by former South Africa captain Gary Kirsten against the UAE in the same city way back in 1996. The England skipper also became the first Englishman to score an ODI double hundred in Pakistan.
Brook’s innings rewrote several other records too. It is now the highest individual score by an England batter in men’s ODIs, overtaking Ben Stokes’ 182 against New Zealand in 2023. Even more impressively, he reached his 200 runs in only 114 balls, making it the fastest ODI double century by balls faced. He went past India’s Shubman Gill, who had scored an unbeaten 223 off 117 balls earlier this year.
At just 27 years old, Brook has joined a rare group of captains who have scored double centuries in ODIs. His 202 is currently the fourth highest score by a captain in the format and the highest ever by an England captain. Previous England captains such as Andrew Strauss and Eoin Morgan never came close to this mark.
The list of highest ODI scores in Pakistan now starts with Brook’s 202, followed by Kirsten’s 188, Viv Richards’ 181, Fakhar Zaman’s 180 and Ibrahim Zadran’s 177. For England, Brook sits clear at the top ahead of Stokes, Jason Roy, Alex Hales and Robin Smith.
This performance not only lifted England to a dominant total but also announced Brook as one of the most destructive white ball batters in world cricket today. Fans and experts are already calling it one of the greatest ODI innings played on Pakistani soil. With records tumbling one after another, Harry Brook has given cricket lovers a knock they will remember for years.
