The Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced a new relief policy for registered pilgrims who cannot travel for Hajj due to unavoidable circumstances. This initiative has been welcomed as a compassionate step to ease the burden on affected families.

If a registered individual is unable to perform Hajj because of serious illness or death, an immediate family member will be allowed to take their place. In other cases, pilgrims may either nominate another individual or request a full refund of the amount they deposited.

To ensure fairness and transparency, applicants must provide supporting documents such as medical or death certificates, proof of payment, and an affidavit confirming the request. Officials clarified that these measures are necessary to verify genuine cases and avoid unnecessary delays.

The ministry explained that this policy aims to reduce financial stress and ensure smooth facilitation for families. For many, this update brings much-needed peace of mind, as their opportunity for Hajj or their invested funds will not be lost.
