Security forces have successfully eliminated 17 terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations conducted in Balochistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations confirmed the details of these actions that took place in the districts of Kachhi and Kharan. One brave soldier laid down his life during the intense exchange of fire.
According to the official statement from ISPR, the operations were carried out on November 1 after intelligence reports indicated the presence of terrorists linked to groups described as Indian proxies, namely Fitna Al Hindustan and Fitna Al Khawarij. These groups continue to pose a serious threat to peace and stability in the region.
In the first operation held in the Sanni area of Kachhi district, security forces acted swiftly and proactively. They successfully prevented the terrorists from setting up a roadblock in the city. During the ensuing encounter, ten terrorists were killed. A significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the site, further weakening the operational capacity of the militants.
The second intelligence-based operation took place in Kharan district. Security forces located and targeted a terrorist hideout. An intense firefight followed, resulting in the elimination of seven terrorists. Once again, weapons and ammunition were recovered, adding to the overall success of the coordinated effort.
Tragically, during the exchange of fire in one of the operations, Sepoy Hikmat Ullah embraced martyrdom. The 25-year-old soldier, who belonged to Karak district, displayed exceptional courage while performing his duty. His sacrifice highlights the ongoing risks faced by personnel working to protect the nation.
ISPR stated that sanitisation operations are currently underway in the affected areas to ensure that no remaining terrorists are left behind. The military’s media wing reaffirmed that security forces and law enforcement agencies remain fully committed to the fight against terrorism.
These operations form part of the broader Azm-e-Istehkam initiative. The campaign, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, aims to eliminate all forms of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from Pakistan. Through consistent intelligence-based actions, the security apparatus continues to disrupt terrorist networks and restore lasting peace in Balochistan and across the country.
The successful elimination of 17 terrorists in these two IBOs once again demonstrates the determination and operational readiness of Pakistan’s security forces. The nation pays tribute to the martyred soldier and salutes the bravery of all personnel engaged in this critical mission.
