Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed General Aamer Raza as the new Commander of the National Strategic Command. General Aamer Raza will serve a three-year term in this position. According to the law, the prime minister appoints the commander from among serving Pakistan Army generals on the recommendation of the Chief of the Army Staff, who also serves as the Chief of Defence Forces.
