In a recent high-level meeting chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, a new strategy was discussed to enhance operations and passenger convenience at airports across Pakistan. The meeting focused on creating a coordinated approach between the ministries of defence and interior to address airport inefficiencies and improve overall travel experiences for passengers.

Key decisions made during the meeting included the installation of advanced screening machinery to strengthen the checking system and reduce wait times. Officials also approved the creation of joint counters, aiming to establish a single-point checking system, which will significantly minimize delays. The installation of e-gates was also discussed, as part of efforts to streamline operations.

Minister Naqvi highlighted the importance of the unified screening system, noting that using a single scanner would save considerable time and reduce crowding. He emphasized that this move is in line with the government’s commitment to providing modern, fast, and convenient travel facilities for the public.

Additionally, the Defence Secretary, Muhammad Ali, informed attendees about the procurement of advanced machinery designed to prevent bird-related accidents, ensuring the safety of aircraft.

This initiative reflects Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to modernize its infrastructure, focusing on efficiency and public convenience. The meeting was attended by top officials, including the Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, and other senior figures from the Defence Ministry, Interior Ministry, and law enforcement agencies.
