Toshakhana records have once again drawn public attention after the Cabinet Division released details of gifts received by top state officials during the October to December 2025 period. According to official documents, several senior office holders, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, were among the recipients of valuable gifts.

The records confirm that all recipients deposited their gifts in Toshakhana, following established procedures. Other names on the list include the First Lady, Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, IT Minister Shaza Fatima, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Power Minister Awais Leghari, and Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema, along with several senior officials and advisers.

According to the released Toshakhana records, the gifts included a wide variety of items such as models of Khana Kaaba, Roza e Rasool, and Makkah Mukarramah, as well as perfumes, oud incense, shields, paintings, carpets, tea sets, swords, daggers, vases, watches, souvenirs, and decorative pieces. Some luxury items like Rolex watches, shawls, and branded fabrics were also listed.

The valuation of these gifts is still under assessment, and related procedures are ongoing. Officials noted that while recent records do not mention the names of gift givers, earlier disclosures had included such details. The gradual release of Toshakhana records is being viewed as an effort toward greater transparency in matters involving state gifts.
