Pakistan’s capital Islamabad is actively preparing for a possible second round of US Iran talks, as tensions remain high across the Middle East. Although the exact schedule has not been officially confirmed, government sources suggest that discussions could take place by the end of next week, with international attention firmly focused on the city.

Authorities have begun extensive security and logistical preparations to manage the expected arrival of high profile delegations. Reports indicate that global leaders, including the US President, Iranian President, and key figures such as the Saudi Crown Prince, may attend a potential agreement signing ceremony. This has led to heightened activity across the city, especially in areas designated for official movement.

Major routes in Islamabad are currently undergoing repairs, beautification, and landscaping. Key roads such as the Express Highway, Murree Road, and Shahrah e Dastoor are being upgraded to ensure smooth movement for visiting officials. Decorative plants are being installed, curbstones are being painted, and cleanliness efforts have been intensified to present a polished image of the capital.

Security remains a top priority. Authorities have finalized a comprehensive traffic management plan, while additional support from Punjab Police is expected. Offices located in the Red Zone will remain closed during the talks, and alternative traffic routes will be enforced to avoid congestion and ensure safety.

The first round of talks in Islamabad, which lasted nearly 21 hours, marked a significant moment as it brought American and Iranian officials together after more than a decade. Although no formal agreement was reached, the discussions opened important communication channels and addressed critical issues such as the Strait of Hormuz, nuclear concerns, and international sanctions.

Officials remain optimistic that the upcoming round could lead to meaningful progress. With Islamabad at the center of global diplomacy, the outcome of these talks may have a lasting impact on regional stability and international relations.
