TikTok has taken a major step in maintaining online safety and content integrity by removing more than 25.4 million videos in Pakistan between April and June 2025 for violating its Community Guidelines. This massive cleanup highlights the platform’s strong commitment to user protection and responsible digital behavior.

According to TikTok’s transparency report, an impressive 99.7 percent of the removed videos were detected and deleted before users could report them. Most were taken down within 24 hours, reflecting the efficiency of TikTok’s AI-powered detection systems.

Globally, TikTok removed nearly 190 million videos during the same period, demonstrating the scale of its content moderation efforts. The report revealed that misinformation accounted for 45 percent of removals, followed by graphic or hateful content at 30.6 percent, and safety risks such as self-harm or dangerous challenges at 14 percent.

The company also eliminated over 102 million fake or underage accounts, reinforcing its commitment to authentic engagement and compliance with age restrictions.

These actions show TikTok’s ongoing effort to create a safer, more trustworthy platform for users around the world. While no system is flawless, the platform’s rapid detection and large-scale moderation mark a significant improvement in digital transparency and accountability.
