Karachi’s motorsports scene is set for a major boost as a newly developed floodlit racing track on the Super Highway prepares to host exciting night car races for racing enthusiasts across Pakistan. The modern autocross facility has been specially designed to support multiple racing formats while offering drivers and spectators a professional racing experience.

The more than two kilometre long track has been equipped with 100 light towers, around 300 LED lights, and four powerful high mast towers to ensure clear visibility during night events. The project aims to make motorsports more accessible for people who remain busy during daytime because of work, business, and other commitments.

A separate drag racing strip has also been completed at the venue. The 400 metre drag track is designed for high speed side by side races where two vehicles compete simultaneously. According to organisers, racing cars on the track can achieve speeds of over 250 kilometres per hour, adding excitement for drivers and fans alike.

To maintain international standards, organisers have installed a modern digital timing system at the finish line for accurate race results. In the first phase, the venue has been opened for four major racing categories including autocross racing, drifting, drag racing, and buggy ATV competitions. Remote control off road vehicle events will also be held at the facility.

Safety arrangements have also been prioritised. A dedicated 2.5 kilometre service route has been developed around the racing track for emergency access. Fire brigade vehicles, ambulances, and medical teams will remain available during all events.

The venue is also being prepared to host large crowds, with space allocated for nearly 100,000 spectators. Food courts, parking facilities, accommodation areas, and service zones are also under development to support national level racing events.

The launch event featured a special march past of 100 cars as young drivers celebrated the beginning of a new era for Karachi motorsports.
