Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has raised serious concerns over the health of former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, demanding that both be shifted to a hospital for proper medical treatment and examinations under the supervision of their personal doctors.

According to Barrister Gohar, Bushra Bibi was taken to a hospital late at night for an eye laser procedure and later shifted back to Adiala Jail. He stated that the party leadership and family members are deeply worried about the medical condition of both leaders. He also requested permission for a family meeting to discuss their health concerns directly.

The PTI chairman criticized what he called a “seek and hide” approach regarding the medical condition of the former premier and his wife. He stressed that immediate medical attention is necessary and urged authorities to allow transparent treatment in the presence of family members and trusted doctors.

Reports suggest that Bushra Bibi recently visited Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital in Rawalpindi for a scheduled follow up checkup after undergoing eye surgery last month. Sources revealed that she had developed serious vision problems in her right eye, and doctors later diagnosed her with retinal detachment, advising urgent surgery.

The operation was reportedly conducted by eye specialist Dr Nadeem Qureshi along with a medical team. After spending a night at the hospital, Bushra Bibi was shifted back to prison. Medical experts have also continued follow up examinations inside Adiala Jail since the surgery.

Meanwhile, PTI leaders continue expressing concern about prison conditions and medical facilities being provided to the jailed couple. The party believes that better healthcare access is essential for both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi considering their ongoing medical issues and legal imprisonment.
