A Lahore court has extended the physical remand of four suspects by another four days in the ongoing investigation into the alleged kidnapping, rape, and extortion of two foreign women. The decision allows investigators additional time to complete evidence collection and continue the inquiry into the high-profile case.

During the court proceedings, police presented the four accused, including the main suspect, Ahmad Raza Dar. The investigating officer informed the court that authorities had successfully recovered the mobile phones and the vehicle allegedly used during the incident. However, he added that the recovery of the alleged ransom money is still pending, making further investigation necessary.

Three of the suspects, Sikandar Aziz Khan, Hassan Raza, and Sajid Ali, were represented by their legal counsel, Advocate Salman Shahid. No lawyer appeared in court on behalf of the prime suspect, Ahmad Raza Dar. After reviewing the investigation’s progress and hearing the arguments, the court approved the police request and extended the suspects’ physical remand by four more days.

The case was registered at Defence C Police Station, Lahore, after two foreign nationals, a Venezuelan and a Dutch citizen, alleged that they were kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and subjected to extortion by a group of suspects.

According to police officials, the two women arrived in Lahore on June 29 before allegedly being abducted. Investigators launched an extensive operation using Safe City surveillance cameras, vehicle tracking technology, and mobile phone data to trace the suspects. The vehicle involved was reportedly tracked through the motorway towards Sargodha, while police also carried out raids in Shahdara and Defence.

Officials said the first ransom call was received on July 1, prompting coordination with international authorities after Spanish officials were also informed. Following technical investigations and digital evidence analysis, police arrested four suspects on July 2.

The investigation continues as law enforcement authorities work to recover the remaining evidence and complete legal proceedings before submitting the final report to the court.
