The Pakistan Shaheens continued their outstanding run in the ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025, securing a commanding nine-wicket victory against the UAE in their final Group B match at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium. The young side once again showcased their depth, confidence, and explosive power with both bat and ball.
Chasing a small target, Pakistan wasted no time and wrapped up the match in just 5.2 overs, losing only one wicket along the way. The early dismissal of Mohammad Naeem, who fell for six, did little to slow the momentum. Maaz Sadaqat and Ghazi Ghori quickly seized control, building a strong 50-run stand that ensured a smooth and dominant finish.
Sadaqat delivered a brilliant unbeaten 37 off 15 balls, smashing four boundaries and three sixes. Ghori supported him with a steady 16 off 12, adding three fours to maintain the pressure.
Earlier, the UAE batting line-up crumbled under disciplined bowling. They lost three wickets inside the power play, with Ahmed Tariq falling for a golden duck and captain Alishan Sharafu dismissed for three. The collapse continued as Ahmed Daniyal, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Maaz Sadaqat tore through the middle and lower order.
The UAE were bowled out for 50 runs in 18 overs, with Muqeem leading the attack with 3/12, while Daniyal and Sadaqat picked up two wickets each. With this win, Pakistan Shaheens topped Group B with a perfect record of three wins and an impressive net run rate of 4.560.
