Dubai International Airport has reported a significant surge in passenger movement, with Pakistan becoming its fourth-largest market by contributing 3.2 million travelers in the first nine months of 2025. According to Dubai Airports, millions of Pakistanis continue to rely on DXB for tourism, business trips, family visits, and long-haul transit travel to Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

DXB also recorded its highest quarterly traffic ever, welcoming 24.2 million passengers between July and September. This reflects a 1.9 percent increase compared to last year. Overall traffic from January to September reached 70.1 million, while the airport’s 12-month rolling total hit 93.8 million, marking a new all-time high.

Dubai’s top three markets remain India with 8.8 million passengers, Saudi Arabia with 5.5 million, and the United Kingdom with 4.6 million. Pakistan took the fourth spot, surpassing the United States.

Operational performance at DXB also remained strong.

Key highlights include:

  • 99.6 percent of departures clear passport control within 10 minutes

  • 99.8 percent of arrivals are completing checks in under 15 minutes

  • 115,000 flights recorded in the third quarter

  • 336,000 total aircraft movements during the first nine months

Dubai is now upgrading Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 to meet rising demand, especially from South Asian travelers, who form a major part of the airport’s passenger base.
