Pakistan has expressed firm support for Donald Trump’s Gaza plan at the United Nations, describing it as an important step toward reducing violence and ensuring the safety of Palestinian civilians. The statement marks a notable diplomatic moment, highlighting Pakistan’s focus on humanitarian relief during a period of heightened regional instability.

During the UN session, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar emphasized that the plan created a rare and much needed pause in hostilities, offering a window for aid delivery and possible diplomatic engagement. He noted that even temporary calm can save lives and help ease the suffering of communities caught in the conflict.

Pakistan reaffirmed its consistent stance on the Palestinian issue, stressing its commitment to a two state solution based on pre 1967 borders with Al Quds Al Sharif as the capital of an independent Palestinian state. Ambassador Iftikhar underscored that genuine peace requires respect for international law, dignity, and self determination for the Palestinian people.

While acknowledging that the Gaza plan is a short term humanitarian measure, Pakistan expressed hope that it could lead to long term dialogue and meaningful progress toward resolving one of the world’s most prolonged conflicts. The country’s response reflects a balanced diplomatic approach that combines immediate humanitarian concerns with its longstanding political principles.
