The White House has unveiled a 20-point peace plan by Donald Trump, designed to end the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Announced alongside Benjamin Netanyahu, the proposal has Israel’s support but still requires acceptance from Hamas.

The plan combines security, humanitarian relief, governance, and a roadmap for peace. Trump stated that if Hamas agrees, the war could end “within days,” but warned that refusal would mean continued Israeli operations with U.S. backing.

Key elements of the 20-point plan include:

  1. Gaza becomes a deradicalized, terror-free zone.

  2. Gaza is redeveloped for its people.

  3. Immediate ceasefire once both sides agree; Israeli forces withdraw to agreed lines.

  4. Within 72 hours, all hostages (alive and deceased) are returned.

  5. Israel releases 250 life-sentence prisoners + 1,700 Gazans detained after Oct 7, 2023.

  6. Hamas members committing to peace get amnesty; others may leave with safe passage.

  7. Full humanitarian aid sent, including water, electricity, hospitals, and bakeries.

  8. Aid distribution managed by UN, Red Crescent, and neutral agencies.

  9. Gaza governed temporarily by a technocratic Palestinian committee with oversight from a new Board of Peace led by Trump.

  10. Economic development plan created to rebuild Gaza and attract investment.

  11. A special economic zone established with preferential tariffs.

  12. No forced displacement; people free to stay, leave, or return.

  13. Hamas barred from governance; all military infrastructure destroyed.

  14. Regional partners guarantee compliance and Gaza’s non-threat status.

  15. Establishment of an International Stabilization Force (ISF) with vetted Palestinian police.

  16. Israel will not annex Gaza; IDF will gradually withdraw as security improves.

  17. If Hamas rejects the plan, aid and rebuilding continue in terror-free areas.

  18. Launch of interfaith dialogue promoting tolerance and coexistence.

  19. If PA reforms succeed, a pathway to Palestinian statehood is possible.

  20. U.S. facilitates political dialogue between Israel and Palestinians for peaceful coexistence.

Netanyahu hailed the plan as a “critical step toward peace.” Trump added that if Hamas refuses, Israel will continue operations with U.S. backing.
