The UAE Minimum Salary for Visit Visa Sponsorship has been set to provide clearer guidelines for residents who want to bring visitors. These reforms are part of the UAE’s broader visa system updates, aligning with its economic goals and ensuring financial stability.
Residents must earn Dh4,000 per month to sponsor close family members. For second- or third-degree relatives, the requirement increases to Dh8,000, while inviting friends now needs the highest threshold of Dh15,000. These conditions were announced by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) to guarantee that sponsors can support their visitors responsibly.
Beyond income-linked rules, the UAE has introduced new visa categories. These include permits for AI professionals, cruise tourism specialists, and event organizers. A one-year renewable humanitarian residence permit has also been launched. Additionally, widows and divorced women can apply for residency without a sponsor under defined terms.
Entrepreneurs now have access to a business exploration visa, while truck drivers under goods transport companies must follow new conditions.
Officials explained that these measures were shaped by global trends and community feedback. The changes are expected to raise the standard of living, support innovation, and strengthen the UAE’s position as a competitive hub worldwide.
