For the first time, O and A Level students in Pakistan will be able to view their exam answer scripts online, following a new initiative by Cambridge International Examinations.
The move has been introduced to promote transparency in the examination process and give students more control over the review of their papers.
According to Cambridge officials, students will be able to access their answer scripts free of charge. If they believe their papers require re-checking, they can request scrutiny through their respective schools. The facility is available across all Cambridge-affiliated schools in Pakistan.
The announcement was made by Uzma Yousuf, Country Manager for Cambridge International in Pakistan, during her visit to Karachi, alongside Arsalan Rabbani, Marketing Communication Manager at Cambridge. Yousuf noted that schools now have direct access to students’ exam copies, which can be shared upon request.
This initiative distinguishes Cambridge from Pakistan’s local educational boards, where matric and intermediate students are not permitted to see their answer sheets. Cambridge believes the policy will empower students by making the evaluation system more transparent and fair.
Pakistan currently has the largest number of Cambridge students globally, with nearly 130,000 enrolled in O and A Levels. With over 800 affiliated schools, Cambridge continues to play a major role in the country’s education sector.
Officials also revealed ongoing discussions with the Sindh Education Ministry to broaden collaboration, particularly in the area of teacher training programs.
