Security forces have killed 19 India-backed terrorists in a series of intelligence based operations across Balochistan. The military’s media wing ISPR confirmed the successful actions on Wednesday and said the operations took place since 21 September 2026.
According to ISPR intelligence agencies first detected multiple hideouts of Indian-sponsored terrorists belonging to Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan in the Shaban area of Quetta. These hideouts posed a direct threat to the local population. Security forces launched a clearance operation to protect civilians and remove the terrorist presence from the area.
During intense exchanges of fire troops successfully engaged and cleared several hideouts. Thirteen terrorists were killed in the Shaban operation. Forces also recovered weapons ammunition and explosives from the sites. The clearance drive will continue until the entire threat is fully neutralised.
In separate pre-emptive intelligence based operations conducted on 22 and 23 September in District Kech and District Quetta West security forces killed another six terrorists. Weapons and ammunition were again recovered from the scene.
Tragically one brave soldier paid the ultimate price. Subedar Muhammad Jamil aged 39 embraced martyrdom during the exchange of fire while performing his duty. ISPR paid tribute to the fallen hero describing him as a true son of the soil.
The military’s media wing made it clear that the relentless counter terrorism campaign under the vision of Azm e Istehkam will continue at full pace. This campaign was approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. Security forces and law enforcement agencies remain fully committed to eliminating foreign sponsored terrorism from the country.
Pakistan has faced a sharp rise in terror attacks especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan after the Afghan Taliban returned to power. Recent data shows these two provinces accounted for nearly 96 percent of all violence related fatalities in the second quarter of 2026. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remained the worst affected region while Balochistan also recorded a high number of incidents.
Despite the challenges the successful elimination of 19 terrorists in a short period demonstrates the determination and capability of Pakistani security forces. The operations highlight ongoing efforts to protect citizens and secure the nation’s borders against externally backed threats
