A young athlete from Government College University Lahore has achieved something truly remarkable. Faizan Ahmed Faiz, a student and proud member of the Falcon Triathlon Club, finished a tough 1,100 kilometre run from Lahore all the way to Skardu in just 22 days. He completed this incredible journey on Thursday, September 17, after facing some of the hardest roads and mountains in Pakistan.

Faizan started his run in Lahore and first crossed the flat plains of Punjab. He passed through Gujranwala, Jhelum, Rawalpindi and Islamabad. From there the path became much harder as he entered the hills of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan. His route took him through Abbottabad, Naran, over the high Babusar Top, then Chilas and Raikot before he finally reached Skardu. Every day he ran long distances, climbed steep slopes and dealt with changing weather while keeping a steady pace.

This was not only a test of physical strength. Faizan dedicated the entire endurance journey to the martyrs of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and police. He wanted to honour those who gave their lives serving the country. At the same time he used the run to speak about a serious social issue. He raised strong awareness against drug abuse, especially among young people. Along the way he met local communities and shared a clear message that youth should stay away from harmful habits and choose healthy, positive activities instead.

Through his long days on the road, Faizan showed how sports can become a powerful platform for social good. He proved that determination and discipline can help a person cross both physical and social barriers. The 22 day challenge from the busy streets of Lahore to the high mountains of Skardu will be remembered as a strong example of courage and purpose.

Faizan’s achievement adds another proud chapter to the story of young Pakistani athletes who push their limits while giving back to society. His successful finish in Skardu marks the end of a journey that began with a simple step in Lahore and ended with a powerful message of strength, respect and awareness.
