President Asif Ali Zardari has left London for Pakistan after spending more than a week in the British capital. Before departing for the airport, he spoke to Geo News and shared a brief update on his health.
When asked how he was feeling, the President replied, “By the grace of Allah, I am well.” He also said he had a good time during his stay in London.
President Zardari chose not to answer questions about Pakistan’s current political situation or the debate over creating new provinces and administrative units. He kept his responses limited to personal matters.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Tipu Usman, was present to see the President off. Dr Asim Hussain, the President’s personal physician, is accompanying him on the return journey.
Sources confirmed that President Zardari underwent several medical check-ups while in Britain. The visit remained completely private. He did not take part in any political activity or hold formal political meetings during his time in London.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari visited their father regularly. The President met both his son and daughter on a daily basis throughout the stay.
This trip marked President Zardari’s first visit to Britain in nearly six years. The focus remained on rest, family time and medical consultations rather than official engagements.
With the private visit now concluded, the President is on his way back to Pakistan. Officials confirmed that he left London in good spirits and in a stable condition after completing the necessary medical reviews.
The Presidency has not shared further details about the exact arrival schedule, but the return journey is under way with full medical support available on board.
