Pakistan Army has reaffirmed its commitment to eliminate terrorists and their facilitators following a series of deadly attacks in Balochistan. During a press conference, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that 54 India backed terrorists had been killed in multiple security operations, while 42 people, including 38 security personnel and civilians, embraced martyrdom while defending the country.

According to the military spokesperson, the first attack occurred in Hanna Urak on the night of July 4 and 5, where militants linked to Fitna al Khawarij targeted local residents. Brave civilians resisted the attackers, forcing them to retreat. However, four civilians were martyred and six others sustained injuries during the assault.

The second major incident took place on July 6 at a police checkpoint near the Mangi Dam pumping station. Terrorists launched an attack on the checkpoint, but police personnel responded with determination, killing 15 militants during the initial exchange. Before additional security forces arrived, several police officers were taken hostage. Security forces later surrounded the militants and launched a carefully planned operation to protect the hostages. Despite their efforts, 27 police personnel embraced martyrdom. The operation resulted in the elimination of 26 terrorists.

The third attack occurred in Bela, where an army convoy came under attack by militants associated with the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). Security forces successfully neutralized 14 terrorists, while one junior commissioned officer and 10 soldiers embraced martyrdom. Separate intelligence based operations in Kharan and Dalbandin also led to the killing of 14 additional militants.

Lt Gen Chaudhry stated that Pakistan’s security forces will continue targeting every terrorist and facilitator involved in violence against the country. He also claimed that Afghan territory is being used to support attacks against Pakistan and reiterated the government’s resolve to safeguard national security. He emphasized that the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and the people of Pakistan remain united in the fight against terrorism and will continue operations until peace is fully restored.
