Brazil delivered an impressive performance to secure a convincing 3-0 victory over Haiti in their FIFA World Cup Group C clash, keeping their tournament hopes alive while ending Haiti’s campaign. The match saw Matheus Cunha emerge as the star of the night, scoring twice and rewarding the faith shown in him by manager Carlo Ancelotti.

After a disappointing draw in their opening match, Brazil entered the game under pressure to produce a stronger display. The five time world champions responded in style with a much sharper attacking performance and greater control throughout the contest.

Haiti started the match with energy and determination, backed by passionate supporters in the stadium. Despite their efforts, Brazil’s quality eventually made the difference. The breakthrough arrived in the 23rd minute when Vinicius Junior tested goalkeeper Johny Placide with a powerful effort. The rebound created confusion in the box, allowing Cunha to capitalize and score his first goal of the tournament.

Brazil continued to dominate possession and create chances. In the 36th minute, Vinicius once again played a key role, delivering a perfectly timed pass that allowed Cunha to finish brilliantly and double Brazil’s advantage. The goal highlighted the growing understanding between the two attackers.

Before halftime, Brazil added a third goal. Lucas Paqueta delivered an excellent pass over the defense, finding Vinicius Junior, who calmly finished past the advancing goalkeeper to put the result beyond doubt.

Although Haiti fought hard and nearly found a goal through defender Ricardo Ade in the second half, Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson produced an important save to preserve the clean sheet.

The victory moves Brazil to four points in Group C and strengthens their chances of reaching the knockout stage. For Haiti, the defeat confirms their elimination from the competition, but their spirited performances earned respect throughout the tournament.

With Cunha finding form and Brazil’s attack showing signs of improvement, the Selecao will head into their next match with renewed confidence.
