Help for the victims of the recent floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has arrived in Peshawar thanks to the 48 tons of relief materials sent by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) from Karachi.
The help was transported on a dedicated Air Eagle B-737 plane, as stated by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Dry food rations and other needs are among the goods that families in need will receive.
To make sure these supplies get to those who need them the most, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) will be in charge of their distribution. So that no impacted household is left behind, officials have stated that delivering fast and fair distribution is the objective.
An air bridge has also been constructed to link regions like Buner and Shangla, which were badly affected by the floods, to make it easier to access the worst-hit areas. Relief efforts in areas with impaired road access should benefit from this air link’s anticipated acceleration.
When natural catastrophes strike Pakistan, the PAF will be there for the people, it said again. In order to ensure that flood victims receive aid in a timely manner, military leaders emphasized that the Air Force will maintain its participation in rescue and relief operations.
Since the extent of the damage is still being determined, additional relief missions may be dispatched as needed, according to authorities. As a first step toward helping flood victims and towns recover from the tragedy, the shipment of 48 tons of relief is greatly appreciated.
