Heavy thunderstorms and rainfall triggered multiple emergency incidents across Multan, leaving seven people injured over the past 24 hours. The severe weather caused walls to collapse and loose objects to fall from rooftops, prompting a swift response from Rescue 1122 teams.

According to rescue officials, a total of six weather related emergencies were reported in different parts of the city. Three separate incidents involved the collapse of weakened walls, resulting in injuries to four individuals. In three other incidents, strong winds dislodged signboards, bricks and other rooftop materials, causing injuries to three more people.

As soon as emergency calls were received, the Rescue 1122 control room dispatched response teams from nearby rescue stations. Emergency personnel reached each location without delay and provided immediate medical assistance to the injured victims. Their rapid response helped prevent the situation from becoming more serious despite the challenging weather conditions.

Of the seven injured people, two received first aid at the scene after being assessed by rescue workers. The remaining five victims were transported to nearby hospitals for further medical treatment and observation. Rescue officials confirmed that all rescue operations were completed successfully and that the injured received timely care.

Authorities have once again urged residents to remain cautious during periods of heavy rain and strong winds. Citizens have been advised to avoid standing or walking near old walls, damaged buildings, large signboards, trees, and electricity poles or hanging wires, as these structures can become dangerous during storms.

Rescue 1122 also encouraged the public to stay informed about weather conditions and limit unnecessary travel when severe weather is expected. In case of any emergency, residents should immediately contact the 1122 emergency helpline so rescue teams can respond quickly and provide assistance.

With the ongoing monsoon season bringing unpredictable weather across parts of Pakistan, officials continue to emphasize the importance of following safety guidelines to reduce the risk of injuries and property damage during thunderstorms and heavy rainfall.
