The family of Pakistan Awam Raj Tehreek chief Iqrar ul Hassan has claimed that he was taken away from his residence in the early hours of the morning, and they still have no information about his location. Authorities have denied holding him in custody so far.

According to family members, a group of people arrived at the house around 2am. They broke the front door, entered the premises, and took Iqrar ul Hassan with them. The group also seized mobile phones, a laptop, the DVR system, and CCTV footage from the property.

His wife Farah Iqrar shared what happened. She said she was asleep when loud ringing of the doorbell woke her up. By the time she got up, many people were already inside the house. She asked who they were but was pushed and injured her hand in the process. Farah stated that two women were part of the group. Two men held Iqrar after he came out of his room and took him away. She added that the women had “NCCIA” written on their arms. Her own mobile phones were also taken when she tried to contact relatives.

Lawyer Mian Ali Ashfaq said the matter was raised before a judicial magistrate. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency completely denied having Iqrar ul Hassan in its custody when the court asked about his production.

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari also clarified that the Punjab Police had not arrested him. She said the matter is under investigation and the family will be informed as soon as any verified information becomes available.

Another wife of Iqrar, Quratulain, appealed directly to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. She requested urgent action so that the administration can find out where he is, what is happening, and under what conditions he was taken. She expressed worry that evidence might be fabricated against him and said the family has no idea when he might be released.

The situation has left the family anxious and seeking clear answers from the authorities. At present, both the NCCIA and Punjab Police have stated they do not have him in custody, while the investigation continues. The family continues to wait for any official update on the whereabouts of Iqrar ul Hassan.
