Pakistan’s security forces carried out multiple intelligence based operations in Balochistan, eliminating 15 India backed terrorists during targeted missions in the Harnai and Basima districts. The operations were confirmed in an official statement released by the Inter Services Public Relations, which highlighted the continued efforts to dismantle foreign sponsored militant networks inside the country.

According to the statement, the first operation took place in Harnai district, where security forces acted on credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants belonging to Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan, also referred to as Fitna al Khawarij. During an intense exchange of fire between the militants and the troops, 12 terrorists were killed. The successful engagement also resulted in the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials, which authorities say were being used for planned terrorist activities.

A separate intelligence based operation was conducted in Basima district. In that operation, three militants linked with Fitna al Hindustan were neutralized by the security forces. With this second engagement, the total number of eliminated terrorists reached 15.

Military officials stated that the militants killed in these operations had been actively involved in several terrorist incidents targeting both civilians and security personnel. Following the operations, sanitization activities were launched in the surrounding areas to ensure that no additional militants remained hidden.

Pakistan’s leadership praised the successful operations. President Asif Ali Zardari commended the professionalism and determination of the security forces, stating that the elimination of militants supported by foreign elements demonstrates the country’s resolve to defeat terrorism. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also lauded the troops and reiterated the government’s commitment to eradicate terrorism completely from Pakistan.

Officials further emphasized that the national counter terrorism campaign under Azm e Istehkam will continue with full intensity. The campaign aims to dismantle terrorist networks, prevent cross border militant infiltration, and ensure long term peace and security in Pakistan, particularly in sensitive regions such as Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
