The Tehreek Tahaffuz Aiyeen e Pakistan (TTAP) has strongly rejected claims of any internal conflict with the family of Imran Khan, calling such reports baseless and misleading. The clarification came during a recent media interaction, where party representatives emphasized that their relationship with the former prime minister’s family remains solid and respectful.
TTAP spokesperson Akhunzada Hussain stated that the alliance is built on mutual trust, sincerity, and long standing respect. He highlighted that senior leaders, including Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas, hold Imran Khan’s family in high regard. According to Hussain, Imran Khan’s sisters, especially Aleema Khanum, have consistently raised important concerns regarding his health condition and the need for fair and timely legal proceedings.
The controversy began after Aleema Khan publicly criticized certain party leaders, claiming they were not doing enough regarding the PTI protest movement and her brother’s well being. She also questioned the postponement of a planned public gathering that was originally scheduled for April 9, a date of political significance tied to the no confidence vote in 2022.
In response, PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja dismissed these allegations and clarified that decisions regarding party activities were taken in the national interest. He explained that the postponement was necessary due to the expected arrival of important international delegations from the United States and Iran. He further stated that the decision had already been approved by Imran Khan himself.
TTAP also denied rumors suggesting that leadership members deliberately avoided meetings due to disagreements with Aleema Khan. Hussain stressed that such narratives are being spread to create a false impression of division within the alliance.
Reaffirming their stance, TTAP declared that their alliance with Imran Khan’s family remains strong, united, and unwavering, and warned that attempts to create confusion will not succeed.
