Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has officially arrived in Doha as part of his three-nation diplomatic tour, marking an important step in Pakistan’s growing international engagement. This visit follows his earlier stop in Saudi Arabia, showing a clear effort by Islamabad to strengthen ties with key regional allies and promote peace and stability in the Middle East.
Upon arrival, the prime minister and his delegation were warmly welcomed by Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi. A formal guard of honour by the Qatari Armed Forces highlighted the importance of this diplomatic visit. The presence of Pakistani flags across Doha further reflected the strong and friendly relationship between the two nations.
During his stay, Shehbaz Sharif is expected to meet with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. These discussions will focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation, boosting economic and political partnerships, and sharing perspectives on regional peace efforts. The Pakistani delegation includes key figures such as Ishaq Dar, Attaullah Tarar, and Tariq Fatemi, showing the strategic importance of the visit.
The prime minister’s journey will continue to Turkey, where he will attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. At this global platform, he is expected to present Pakistan’s stance on regional and global issues and hold meetings with world leaders, including Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
This visit comes at a time when Pakistan is gaining global attention after hosting high-level US Iran talks in Islamabad. Although no final agreement was reached, these discussions highlighted Pakistan’s growing role as a diplomatic bridge. With another round of talks expected soon, Pakistan continues to position itself as a key player in regional peacebuilding efforts.
