Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has expressed strong confidence in the Makkah Joint Defence Alliance as a key pillar for regional security. Speaking before the Shura Council, he made it clear that Saudi Arabia will deliver a decisive response to any threat or attack directed at the Kingdom. At the same time, he reaffirmed Riyadh’s commitment to lowering tensions and pursuing diplomatic solutions wherever possible.

The Crown Prince stressed that recent attacks on Gulf Cooperation Council nations have shown how closely linked Gulf security remains. He said Saudi Arabia will keep working with its Gulf partners on strategic cooperation and deeper economic integration while placing clear priority on protecting the wider region. According to the Saudi Press Agency, Prince Mohammed highlighted the Makkah Joint Defence Alliance formed with Pakistan and Turkiye. He believes this partnership will strengthen stability and improve coordination against shared challenges.

On Yemen, the Crown Prince confirmed that Saudi Arabia will continue backing the internationally recognised government so it can restore authority across the country and bring lasting calm. He accused the Houthis of choosing chaos and destruction, warning that their actions endanger both Yemen and the broader region. Riyadh also firmly rejects any attempt to turn international waterways into tools of political or economic pressure. In response, the Kingdom has launched a multinational maritime defence alliance aimed at safeguarding shared interests and keeping vital sea lanes secure.

Prince Mohammed praised the Saudi armed forces for their readiness and professionalism in facing current threats. He underlined that the Kingdom remains dedicated to reducing escalation while supporting genuine diplomatic efforts. The Makkah Joint Defence Alliance was signed earlier this year at a time of rising regional pressure, with all three partners agreeing that an attack on one would be treated as an attack on all. Follow-up discussions have focused on practical security coordination and continued support for Riyadh.

Through these statements, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has set out a clear message: Saudi Arabia will defend its interests firmly, stand by its allies, and keep investing in frameworks that promote long-term regional security and stability.
