Security forces killed three Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists, including a key commander, during an operation in Mastung district of Balochistan on Monday, according to security sources.
The forces targeted the terrorists’ vehicle with a quadcopter and completely destroyed it. Among those eliminated was militant commander Naqeeb. Security sources confirmed that operations against militants will continue across the province until the last terrorist is removed.
This action follows earlier intelligence-based operations on September 6 and 7 in Kharan and Washuk districts, where security forces eliminated at least 11 India-sponsored militants belonging to the same group. The Inter-Services Public Relations had reported the presence of these terrorists linked to the Indian proxy network known as Fitna al-Hindustan.
Pakistan has faced a rise in militant activity, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in 2021. A recent report by the Centre for Research and Security Studies highlighted that these two provinces remain the main centres of violence. In the second quarter of 2026, they accounted for nearly 96 percent of all violence-related deaths in the country.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded the highest number of fatalities at 475, making up more than 61 percent of the total, while Balochistan reported 265 deaths, or 34 percent. KP also saw the most violent incidents with 151 cases, representing 57 percent of the national total, followed by Balochistan with 94 incidents.
Security sources stressed that forces remain committed to clearing the region of militants. They said the fight will continue without pause until every remaining terrorist is eliminated. The latest success in Mastung forms part of ongoing efforts to restore peace and security in Balochistan and neighbouring areas affected by cross-border and proxy-linked militancy.
