Pakistan has reiterated the importance of maintaining peace in the Middle East, with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar emphasizing that the current US Iran ceasefire must remain intact to prevent further instability in the region.

During a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Dar discussed recent regional developments and expressed concern over reports of continued tensions and ceasefire violations. According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the deputy prime minister highlighted the need to preserve existing understandings between all parties and avoid actions that could undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts.

Dar also voiced concern regarding reported Israeli military activities in Lebanon, stressing that any escalation could threaten broader regional stability.
