Nobel Peace Prize winner and girls education activist Malala Yousafzai has expressed strong optimism about Pakistan’s future, saying the country’s passionate and educated youth are playing a key role in driving progress and stability. Speaking during an event in London, Malala highlighted the importance of education, innovation, and youth leadership in shaping a stronger Pakistan.
The event brought together influential Pakistanis, creators, and education advocates to discuss ways to improve educational standards and opportunities in the country. During her conversation, Malala said that young Pakistanis are deeply committed to the development of their homeland and are eager to use modern knowledge and technology to move the country forward.
She emphasized that women and girls must be part of Pakistan’s growth journey. According to Malala, empowering girls through quality education is essential for national development and long term stability. She added that seeing educated and motivated young people working for Pakistan’s future always gives her hope.
The gathering was organised in collaboration with the Malala Fund and included discussions on innovation, leadership, and equal access to education. Participants exchanged ideas on how Pakistan can improve its education system and create more opportunities for future generations.
Before attending the roundtable session, Malala also addressed the international Education World Forum in London alongside education leaders from around the world. During her speech, she spoke about the challenges faced by girls in regions affected by conflict, including Afghanistan and Palestine.
Malala shared inspiring examples of girls continuing their education despite severe restrictions and hardships. She also reflected on the success of the Shangla Girls School in Pakistan, which now educates more than one thousand students and has achieved excellent academic results.
The activist concluded by saying that Pakistan’s future looks promising because of its talented youth, growing educational awareness, and the determination of young women to succeed despite challenges.
