Key Takeaways from Tri-Service Press Conference on Marka-e-Haq

Pakistan’s top military officials recently held a detailed tri-service press conference to share important key takeaways from Marka-e-Haq — the 19-day conflict with India in 2025. The briefing highlighted Pakistan’s strong performance, strategic achievements, and firm commitment to regional peace while maintaining credible deterrence.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of ISPR, along with Rear Admiral Shifaat Ali Khan and Air Vice Marshal Tariq Ghazi, addressed the media. They presented a united strategic assessment of the conflict that took place from April 22 to May 10, 2025.

According to the military, Pakistan successfully defeated a five times bigger enemy during the short but intense conflict. The armed forces downed eight Indian fighter jets, including the advanced French-made Rafale, along with several other aircraft and dozens of drones. The Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy remained fully prepared, even keeping India’s aircraft carrier Vikrant under threat while protecting vital maritime routes.

The DG ISPR strongly rejected the Indian narrative of portraying Pakistan as a sponsor of terrorism. He emphasized that Marka-e-Haq successfully buried this false propaganda and showcased Pakistan as a responsible middle power on the global stage. The military also pointed out the dangerous trend of politicisation within the Indian military leadership.

The briefing described the conflict as a new kind of warfare involving multi-domain operations, cyber threats, information warfare, and proxies. Despite these challenges, Pakistan demonstrated excellent civil-military synergy, which was termed the “Bunyan-um-Marsoos effect” — reflecting unbreakable unity among the people, government, and armed forces.

Military leaders made it clear that while Pakistan is fully ready for any challenge, there is “no space for war” between two nuclear-armed neighbours. The armed forces reiterated their commitment to regional peace backed by a strong and modern defence posture.

This press conference has boosted national morale and sent a clear message of strength and responsibility to the world.
