Peshawar Zalmi delivered a record breaking performance as they crushed Karachi Kings by a massive 159 runs in their PSL 11 encounter at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. This victory stands as the biggest win in PSL history, highlighting Zalmi’s dominance in both batting and bowling.
The match was defined by a sensational innings from Kusal Mendis, who smashed a brilliant 109 runs off just 52 balls, hitting 14 fours and four sixes. He was well supported by captain Babar Azam, who remained unbeaten on 87 runs, anchoring the innings with great composure.
After an early wicket, Mendis and Babar formed a match defining partnership of 191 runs, completely shifting momentum in Zalmi’s favor. Their aggressive batting helped the team post a huge total of 246 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs. Towards the end, Abdul Samad added quick runs with a powerful cameo, further strengthening the total.
