The veteran all-rounder shared the emotional update on Instagram, reflecting on his memorable career while making it clear that his love for cricket remains unchanged.
In his message, Shoaib Malik said he cherishes every moment, bond, and friendship formed both on and off the field during his ten years in the PSL. He described the league as a defining chapter of his professional life and stated that the time had come to “call it a day” as a PSL player. Despite the retirement, Malik reassured fans that his passion and motivation to serve cricket would continue in other capacities.
Throughout his PSL career, Malik represented multiple franchises, including Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, and Quetta Gladiators. His consistent performances and leadership made him one of the most respected figures in the tournament. Over 93 PSL matches, Malik amassed 2,350 runs, maintaining an impressive average of 33.09 and a strike rate of 127.78, along with 15 half-centuries.
