Pakistan has once again reaffirmed its strong and unwavering support for Saudi Arabia amid rising tensions in the Middle East conflict. The country strongly condemned the recent Iranian missile and drone attacks on Saudi energy facilities, calling them a serious threat to regional stability.
In an official statement, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi described the attacks as a clear violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He warned that such actions represent a dangerous escalation that could further destabilize the already fragile situation in the region.
The attacks reportedly targeted a major petrochemical complex in Jubail, a key industrial hub in eastern Saudi Arabia. These strikes came shortly after similar incidents in Iran, highlighting the intensifying cycle of retaliation between the involved parties.
Pakistan expressed deep concern over the loss of lives and destruction caused by these attacks. The Foreign Office extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and assured that Pakistan stands in full solidarity with the Saudi government and its people during this difficult time.
Officials emphasized that continued aggression could have severe consequences not only for regional peace but also for the global economy, particularly due to disruptions in oil supply. The ongoing conflict, which escalated after US Israeli strikes on Iran earlier this year, has already caused instability in global energy markets.
The situation has worsened as Iran has reportedly disrupted activity in the Strait of Hormuz, affecting oil shipments and increasing uncertainty worldwide. Iran had earlier warned that any attack on its infrastructure would lead to retaliatory strikes on energy and water facilities across the Gulf region.
Pakistan reiterated its commitment to peace, diplomacy, and stability, urging all parties to exercise restraint and avoid further escalation. The country continues to advocate for dialogue and diplomatic solutions to bring lasting peace to the Middle East.
