A nationwide drive to vaccinate children against rubella and measles began across the country on Monday.

According to the National Emergency Operations Center, the campaign aims to immunize more than 34 million children between the ages of six months and five years.

In addition, a week-long polio vaccination campaign also started on Monday in 90 high-risk districts, where over 23 million children will receive polio drops.

During the campaign, vaccination teams will visit homes to administer the vaccines, while services will also be available at government hospitals, schools, madrassas, and designated temporary centers.

The NEOC has appealed to parents to make sure their children receive these life-saving vaccines to protect them from dangerous and highly contagious diseases.
