The Punjab Youth Affairs and Sports Department has announced that the Inter Division Pink Games for women athletes will be held from February 11 to February 15, 2026, aiming to promote women’s sports and grassroots talent across Punjab. The announcement was made by Divisional Sports Officer Multan Atta ur Rehman Khan while addressing district and tehsil sports officers along with coaches of the Multan division.

He stated that the Pink Games will feature competitions in more than 15 sports disciplines, providing a strong platform for female athletes who are not affiliated with any educational institution. This initiative is specifically designed to encourage grassroots-level women players and help them gain recognition. Teams selected through these competitions will represent their respective divisions at higher levels.

The DSO highlighted that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the provincial government is taking practical steps to empower women through sports. He emphasized that women athletes play a vital role in society, and events like the Pink Games help in building confidence and showcasing talent.

Reflecting on last year, Atta ur Rehman Khan explained that the Pink Games were earlier limited mainly to university-level participation in Lahore. This year, expanding the event to the divisional level will ensure equal opportunities for emerging female athletes from all regions of Punjab.

The Pink Games will include 16 sports, such as Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Hockey, Wushu, Karate, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Rugby, Chess, Weightlifting, and Padel Tennis. Preparations in the Multan division are underway to ensure the event’s smooth and successful execution.
