Women in Karachi have received uplifting news as the Sindh government has introduced a new route for the women only Pink Bus Service. This exclusive transport service, designed to provide safe and comfortable travel for women, will now serve even more passengers through an expanded route.

Beginning November 17, 2025, the new route will operate between Abdullah Chowk and Numaish, two busy areas where women often struggle to find reliable public transport. The launch aims to make daily commuting easier, especially for working women, students, and regular travelers.

According to Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, the Pink Bus will operate three times a day during peak hours. The selected timings are based on public demand: 8am to 9am, 1pm to 2pm, and 5pm to 7pm. These hours are typically the most crowded, and the government hopes to reduce stress and safety concerns during these periods.

Each Pink Bus is equipped with GPS tracking, surveillance cameras, and trained staff to ensure a secure and supportive environment for female passengers. These enhanced safety features are intended to build confidence among women who rely on public transport.

Officials believe that the expansion of the Pink Bus Service will significantly improve mobility, reduce daily travel challenges, and promote a safer commuting culture across Karachi. The new route is expected to benefit thousands of women and strengthen women centered transport options in the city.
